Abraham was a man who showed us what it means to have HOPE. In Rom. 4:18, we are reminded that , “ In hope against hope, Abraham believed, so that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken.
On Day 3 we were reminded of a prayer that encourages us to ask God for the ability to believe ,when all of our flesh seems to testify otherwise. Abram and Sarai were too old. There bodies were dead, so to speak, of bringing new life into this world. However they served a God who in verse 17, just one verse earlier, was described as “ A God who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.” Abraham was a man who showed us what it meant to HOPE against hope.
So, today I ask you? What are you hoping for against hope, beloved? Message me and I will pray with you!
