The Call to Leave…
The Lord is my Shepherd, I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

You light a lamp for me! The Lord my God, lights up my darkness. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence!

Lord help they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress. He led them straight to safety, to a city where they could live. “

I have wrestled and struggled to find the words to explain all that is in my heart about this move.
I have lived long enough that I have come to the place where I am at peace living for the Lord and not for man.
I know that it is not imperative to have man’s approval for this journey, because the Lord has made it very clear that it is His will.
So my desire to share, is that you might be encouraged, to take that step of faith that God might be calling you to in your own life.

The verses above are just a few of the ways the Lord has been speaking to me in the past few months. There is so much more. Because He is our Father he often speaks in ways that He alone knows will minister to our hearts the best.

Wow! A new journey! I can’t even begin to tell you all of the “feels” I have. But rest assured, amidst all of the crazy, bittersweet, hard work, timelines, scary things; I feel God’s overwhelming peace and guidance. It is like, in the middle of all the confusion and sadness their is one bright light shining on the first stepping stone right in front of me. That first stone says , ” Move to Franklin.”
It is a bit like free falling off a cliff, but there is so much joy! Because I know I am walking this out with the Father.
I was thinking about this beautiful place of green meadows and peace and new beginnings and realizing how I feel so much like a sheep. I am completely dependent upon my Good Shepherd to lead me, care for me, to provide new pastures for me and protect me. He will do all of those things! Why? Because it brings honor to His Name!
He has lit a lamp for us. He has put a light in the darkness and shown us the way of life, filling us with the joy of his presence.
He is faithful! He is faithful! He is faithful!

I was contemplating what a good phrase for this next season would be. Sometimes I just need a mantra, a soundbite if you will, to refocus my heart on, when my emotions and the stress of life try to get the best of me.
I think this is it….
He leadeth me!
It reminds me of the words to an old hymn.
“He leadeth me,
  Oh blessed thought
O words with Heavenly comfort fraught
  What ere I do
  Where ere I be
Still tis God’s hand that leadeth me.”

Where is He leading you today? What words is He speaking to your heart? Take some time today to speak to your Creator. His is the sweetest voice and it can drown out any chaos around your heart. I am so thankful for all the dear ones that continue to pray for us. I want you to know, today, I am praying for you, that you will hear His still small voice.
