I was reading over the words to Amazing Grace one I was reading over the words to Amazing Grace one morning. 
You know, the words to the verses….
 We might not have memorized them 
but when we sing them, they build such trust and hope in our heart that we want to belt out that chorus.
The words,to verse three, carry such power!! 
“His word my Hope secures.”
Just sit with that a moment dear ones. 
I can’t secure YOUR hope. You can’t secure MY hope. 
But His Word….

It transforms our minds, uproots the lies of the enemy and plants the truth of God in its place. 

Through it we are made new and HOPE is born! 

May His truths uproot any lies planted in your heart today and give you peace!

Joy may be something you have to fight for at time Joy may be something you have to fight for at times! 
But let me tell you it is worth the fight. 
Sometimes I think we have been rocked to sleep by a society that tells us things should be quick and easy or they aren't worth having.
But I have found that things worth having require effort. 
Though the blessing that comes far outweighs any effort on my part. 

As I was considering the word sleep, a verse tickled the back of my mind. 
I looked it up and His Spirit poured out truth. 
"Awake oh sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
And then...
Awake, awake put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments. 

"Arise shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you."

He has told us through scripture that the Joy of the Lord is our strength, and we are to put on the garments of praise….

What would happen if we would,
 “ Wake Up”dear ones,
put on our Garments of Praise, and 
fear His Name?

Oh beloved get ready!!
The light comes! 
And, we are filled with joy! 

Whatever fight you find yourself in, don’t give up, choose joy dear ones! 
It is worth the fight!

Father’s Day can be a ‘complicated’ holiday Father’s Day can be a ‘complicated’ holiday for many of us. We each have different stories.

Mine includes a father who left and came back, left and came back, then left for good. It also includes a husband who promised never to leave yet was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer and is now in Heaven.

I’m well aware of holidays filled with aching hearts, especially on Father’s Day. But just because it’s complicated doesn’t mean I want to skip it all. I have decided instead that complicated can be an invitation.

We can invite the Father into our memories, our grief, and even our disappointments. We can ask Him to show us where He has been in the midst of all those circumstances. I have, in fact, done this very thing and was encouraged by His response to my heart. We can also ask God to remind us of all the ways He desires to be our Everything.

So, this Father’s Day, I am binding up my wounded heart with these promises. And I pray, they might bind up yours too:

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him” (Psalm 103:13, NIV).

“The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you as he did for you in Egypt…and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place” (Deuteronomy 1:30-31, NIV).

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23, NIV).

Dear friends, whether you have experienced the love of a father on this earth, or even if it’s complicated, we all have access to the love of God the Father—and the love He has for us is not dependent on us.

It is who He is. He changes not.❤️

If your heart is for the ones who have a complicated story… share to encourage them.

Something happens friends, when someone you love m Something happens friends, when someone you love moves to Heaven, and your heart is broken wide open. 
For me, it felt like a wall fell down. I’m not sure exactly how or why. But, in the process of my husband … my children’s father being snatched away, this stone wall that seemed to keep us intact, tumbled. 
I began to see how much one person’s life or lack thereof affects everything. I mean we all know that. 
But we grow content managing our own little worlds until they’re gone.
Then you realize there is only ONE KINGDOM and that is God’s and you just want to find your rightful place in it and do the work He’s called you too! 
That’s where my heart is on most and days and especially on this particular day! 
You see the breaking news that day  was rocking our nation….

Building something can be exhausting. When you fe Building something can be exhausting.

When you feel called to something and you keep showing up but the doors keep closing, it can wear your heart down. If that is you friend, I see you. I am you at times.

This is the truth God keeps leading my heart back to while I wait. 
Him: What is your purpose in sharing beloved? 
Me: To redirect our hearts back to you Father.
Then his truth poured like oil over my heart.
When life looks bleak like winter, new life is just around the corner  if you’ll wait. 
Me: But that’s the problem, I don’t want to wait. Haven’t I waited long enough? 
Him: When all you can feel is your own pain, I’ll bend your heart, if you let me, to feel others.
To be like me, and Bend down and listen.
Me: I want that Jesus.
“Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.” Psalm 116:2

Somehow in the sharing of our burdens with each other beloved, our own lessen. 

Pray as long as you have breath! He is listening! Tag a friend who needs this same truth or share to stories and bring hope to others.
