Thanksgiving Is Rooted In Receiving.

Posted on November 21, 2018by tara.dickson

Thanksgiving is upon us and maybe like me you want this season we are ushering in to be MORE. With every passing year, I feel the holy hush enter my soul just a bit earlier. It’s more than just the upcoming holidays filled with family, food and friends. It’s the general lifting of so many […]

How To Move Forward, When Life Feels Broken Beyond Repair.

Posted on April 9, 2018by tara.dickson

When my beloved husband went to Heaven at the age of 45, I felt like life as I knew it was over and I couldn’t imagine how to step forward. In fact, it felt like my own heart had stopped beating with his. But the ache didn’t lie. I was still here with four children […]

The Power of Resting in Our Weaknesses

Posted on March 25, 2018by tara.dickson

I don’t know about you but feeling weak is something I am not fond of. When I’m feeling weak it’s usually followed up quickly by the lies of the enemy. Run away. Life is too much for you. No one needs you. You only add to the burden they are bearing. Work as hard as […]

Only in Dying Can We Live.

Posted on March 18, 2018by tara.dickson

Remember the parable of the sower? I remember hearing it for years and thinking, “ Well, I am a believer so I must have good soil in my heart.” That immediately ended anything good I could glean from hearing the Word and applying it to my heart. Beloved, as long as we are living it’s […]

Learning to Breathe Again.

Posted on January 24, 2018by tara.dickson

New beginnings and new seasons often begin with a new year. Just like clockwork ours did too. After a night of board games and egg nog, we found ourselves in a cold, sterile ER. What we thought was a stomach bug that was dehydrating my husband was a large mass pressing on his brain. While […]

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think....(Eph.3:20)
We serve a God of FAR MORE beloved.

Somewhere along the way, whether by fiery arrows of doubt and fear from the enemy or by our own insecurities; this truth becomes threatened.

We begin to think small. We begin to ask for little. We begin to tell ourselves to settle for less. We may even begin to think that we are hoping for too much.

Ah, what welcome relief to know that we serve a God who is able to do far more, abundantly than all we ask or think.
And the cherry on the top is the next verse: “According to the power that works within us!”
When you follow Jesus and His Spirit comes to live inside you, you have this same power, the power that raised Jesus from the dead. That’s no small thing friend.
So let’s dream with God. Let’s set our minds on things above rather than the earth. Let’s ask and seek and knock and do it all for His Glory.

I ran across this quote one day that I’d saved from T. Davis Bunn-
“The whole world’s out there screaming for our attention and only one little voice in our heart is whispering ;The answers not out there. It’s in here.”
Oh how I want to listen to that still small voice beloved!

There have been times in my life I desperately wanted to hear from God. I know you have too. Write it on the wall, Lord. ❤️
Isaiah 30:21 says,
“And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, This is the way, walk in it.”
Now more than ever it’s imperative that the sheep know the Good Shepherd’s voice.
We could just make up our own path but why would we do that when He can see down the road? He can direct our steps and lead us in triumphant procession.
For more on this check out my Seek and Savor podcast and search the episode, “The Good Shepherd.”

For me, finding the path to being able to rejoice began with “lifting up my eyes.”
I was only months out from two very big griefs that had struck our family, and I was struggling to just breathe.
I was wondering if life would ever hold joy again and if I still had purpose on this earth.
Exiting the park after a long walk, I started climbing the sidewalk that would lead me home and I heard in my Spirit, “ lift up your eyes.”
This has become a life journey! One I wished I had begun long ago.
If you find yourself fighting to keep your circumstances from dragging you down don’t miss this week’s brand new episode of the Seek and Savor podcast.
I believe you will take something valuable with you. ❤️ Link in my bio.

The Lord is your keeper.

Someone needs to hear this.

So often fear makes us want to turn around and go the other way.

Or we think we must hurry ahead to achieve all the things we want to.

Staying steady, our hand in his hand is often hard.
The enemy comes in and tells us that uncomfortable is not the place we want to be. He says “in control” is better.

But, oh beloved what joy is found in surrender.

“For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand and tells you: Do not fear, I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
