He chose you.

Posted on October 12, 2016December 21, 2016by tara.dickson

Three powerful words. He chose you! (1Thess. 1:2) This was the last part of our verse yesterday but oh beloved I couldn’t go on! How could we keep going without noticing the power of those three words? We all know what an incredible feeling it is to be chosen! And if you are thinking to yourself, […]

October’s Promise

Posted on October 10, 2016December 21, 2016by tara.dickson

Did you know that just like spring gives us the promise of new life, fall has it’s own sweet promise that it whispers? We see it as we watch a crimson leaf drift quietly to the ground. It’s in the golden light that drifts through the trees of the waning day and in the cool […]

Day Nine: He is still the Same God.

Posted on October 10, 2016December 21, 2016by tara.dickson

Sometimes ,I get so bogged down in what I have to do that I proceed head down, full throttle, and don’t see what or who is around me. Sometimes, the questions swirling around in my mind change my prayers from, less of a conversation with the Lord into more of me worrying  a situation from […]

Day Seven: A Joyful Hope – It is possible.

Posted on October 7, 2016December 21, 2016by tara.dickson

Today calls us out even further into the waters of believing. It goes beyond an attitude of hope to a Joyful Hope. One that is so sure that God is with us that we anticipate with excitement how He is going to show up. I want to be very real and transparent beloved I am […]

Day Four- Hope Against Hope

Posted on October 4, 2016December 21, 2016by tara.dickson

Abraham was a man who showed us what it means to have HOPE. In Rom. 4:18, we are reminded that , “ In hope against hope, Abraham believed, so that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken.       On Day 3 we were reminded […]

Day Three of ” A Quest for Hope”

Posted on October 3, 2016December 21, 2016by tara.dickson

Today I just want to share a prayer with you dear ones. This is a prayer my husband often prayed before He read the Word.       “ I pray that the eyes of your heart will be flooded with light,  in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, […]

Day Two: Our God is a God of Hope!       What are two things that people in general are looking for? I think you could stop anyone on the street and they would tell you they want happiness. Or at least they would list something they think would make them happy. Another thing they […]

The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name, trust in you, for you, O Lord do not abandon those who search for you.  Oppression is when cruel or unjust restraints are placed on someone, it also means that someone has something heavy […]

If you have found yourself waiting and let’s face it, who hasn’t ? There is some good news!

Posted on September 5, 2016December 21, 2016by tara.dickson

The Early and the Late Rains…      “Therefore be patient brethren until the coming of the Lord.  The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.” […]

Maybe, like me you need this gentle reminder.

The Lord’s love for us is great beloved! His compassions never fail.

When we wake up in the morning His mercies are there to meet us.

Truth is meant to be spoken over our own hearts. Try it... OUT LOUD.

It might feel weird at first but I guarantee you the more you do it the more you begin to believe the words you’ve been reading.

They become a charge to your own heart. A fire is IGNITED to believe his promises, the things he says about His people and the HOPE we have in Jesus.

He is our portion.

He is all we need...so we can wait on him to make everything right. In this world, in our relationships, in our own hearts.

Trust him beloved.

P.S. Waiting on God is a place of honor. Go read Ps 147:11 He favors those who fear him and wait on his lovingkindness.

He’s got us. ❤️

I am loving the Bible Recap with Tara Leigh Cobble as part of my daily reading this year.
She dropped this truth bomb the other day and I had to push rewind and write it down.
Truth from God’s word is worth savoring friends.
The reality that God is Always working on our behalf and no man can thwart His purposes is an anchor for your heart on the days your circumstances feel like mountains no man can climb.
We can trust in our faithful God beloved.

“In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.”
Psalm 18:29

Redirecting my eyes towards the truth of God’s word always redirects my heart. ❤️#seekandsavorpodcast #hopeinhim #rejoicealways

Sometimes, we just need to step away and remind ourselves that our God knows all that is troubling our souls and He has not given us over beloved.

For me that often looks like walking.
After I walked this beautiful farm I sat on top of a hill and witnessed the ever changing sky. Minute by minute the colors changed, chasing each other until even the lavender faded to black.

It reminded me that everyday he goes to great lengths to show us He is present. We can either stop and notice or continue on, overwhelmed by what our feelings are speaking to us.

He is for you beloved!
How do you press pause and remind your soul this is true?
