Today I just want to share a prayer with you dear ones. This is a prayer my husband often prayed before He read the Word.
“ I pray that the eyes of your heart will be flooded with light, in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe in him. This is the same mighty power that raised Jesus from the dead. “ ( Eph. 1:18,19)
Did you know beloved that the Word of God is alive? When you read it, you aren’t just reading some ancient words written long ago. You are reading the very words of God over you and your situation. His Spirit is the one who floods our heart’s eyes with light so that we may Know and HOPE! The situations we are bringing to our God are no match for Him. He is the Great I AM and the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us who believe!
Father will you do this for us today? Will you flood our hearts with the light of your Word? Where there is darkness of doubt and fear will you replace it with belief in you, our Mighty God? Help us to understand just how great you are and meditate on that greatness rather than the battles we are facing today. We know that when we meditate on your greatness we are filled with HOPE and praises spill out of our hearts. We ask this in your Son’s mighty name, Jesus, that you raised from the dead. AMEN.
